FITS Wows at the World Equestrian Games
From setup to tear down, the FITS booth at the WEG trade show, held in Kentucky in early October, was 22 days of nonstop horse talk and action. The response from spectators, WEG riders and critics was unanimous: FITS was recognized by EquiSearch for some of the top products at the show. People were truly amazed and actually grateful for the technology and comfort built into our designs. We made new customers from Spain, Argentina, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, France, Poland, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden and Singapore, among others. Especially thrilling was the number of WEG competitors who left the grounds with a FITS purchase; stay tuned to learn about new top riders from around the world in a variety of disciplines that may be joining our FITS Riders team!

FITS Team Riders Star at WEG

Team Canada, including FITS Riders Hawley Bennett-Awad and Selena O'Hanlon, earned the WEG Silver Medal in Eventing. See Hawley on her brave mare Ginn & Juice in cross-country action at the lake complex on the course.
Becky Holder, FITS' newest team rider, competed as an individual in eventing for the USA on her horse Comet. Third after dressage and cross country, they were forced to withdraw after a thrown shoe made the gelding unable to compete in show jumping.
Carolina Greenwalt of Argentina, riding Jessie Q and wearing FITS, finished in the middle of the pack in WEG's endurance race. Only about half of entrants actually finished the grueling ride. Not bad for a "mature" woman riding her former cart horse!
An encouraging shout out to U.S. eventer and FITS Rider Kimberly Severson who had to pull her lovely horse Paddy before the start of competition. Undoubtedly a difficult go-no go decision. Great things await this pair.
In non-WEG news, FITS Rider Lainey Ashker and her horse Anthony Patch were picked, along with riders Boyd Martin and Phillip Dutton, to represent the USA in the Pau **** in France next month. Congratulations!

Meet the gallant and winsome Fuego XII, Spanish
Andalusian ridden by Juan Manuel Munoz, who stopped by the FITS booth during WEG. Many at the show felt the team of Diaz and Fuego was robbed and merited the gold in freestyle dressage for their 81.65% performance.
They finished fifth, some speculate due to Munoz' one-handed riding (did this "showboating" offend the judges?), others attributing it to bias in the dressage world against Iberian breeds. We simply say, "Ole!" Watch Fuego and Munoz in action. |
